Founded in 2016, Gemstone Wellness is a longstanding Chicago therapy practice founded and led by women. Many of our clinicians are part of the LGBTQ+ community, and we offer affirming, trauma-informed care in English and Spanish.
We built Gemstone because too many people were asked to educate their therapist before they could begin healing. Our practice centers identity, culture, and lived experience as clinical data—not as side notes. Since opening, we have supported 900+ clients in downtown Chicago and across Illinois through secure telehealth.
We are a real Loop practice—not only an online directory listing. Clients meet us in person at 53 W Jackson Blvd Ste 838, or continue care online anywhere in Illinois.

At Gemstone Wellness, therapy is identity-affirming and trauma-informed by design. We work at your pace to process painful experiences, strengthen relationships, and rebuild a sense of safety and belonging.
Our clinicians draw from evidence-informed approaches—including CBT, relational/psychodynamic work, somatic and trauma-focused care—while staying flexible to what your nervous system and goals actually need. We do not offer one-size-fits-all protocols.

We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Aetna PPO, and we can provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement when needed. Sessions are available in English and Spanish.

Gemstone Wellness protects your privacy under HIPAA. Therapy and evaluation records are shared only with your consent, except where legally required. For immigration evaluations and other forensic documentation, we coordinate with your attorney only with your written permission.
